Jacki Karsh is a five time Emmy-nominated multimedia journalist. She’s covered Los Angeles County on LA36’s LA County Channel for nearly a decade. Jacki reports on social and humanitarian issues impacting Angelenos, with pieces focusing on the County-wide homelessness crisis, impactful scientific innovation, transformative infrastructure, and community projects. Jacki is also a host and producer for the entrepreneurial multimedia platform Business Rockstars, where she interviews entrepreneurs, startups and CEOs. She has previously reported for CityTV Santa Monica, Young Hollywood, and Westside TV as a field reporter. Jacki is also a decorated conference production coordinator and moderator, hosting and developing “MontyTV” for the largest tech conference in Southern California – the Montgomery Summit – for the last 6 years. She has interviewed the likes of Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal & Gen. David Petraeus, CEOs like Keith Krach formerly of Docusign and C3.ai’s Thomas Siebel, thought leaders like the Governor of Illinois J.B. Pritzker, Tim Draper of Draper Associates, Mike Milken and Patrick Soon-Shiong, as well as hundreds of startup and tech entrepreneurs. Jacki graduated with a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in 2014 and with distinction from Columbia University in 2013. She was honored with a King’s Crown Award from Columbia University for her contribution to the media landscape and received the Communicator of the Year Award from New York Women in Communications. She serves on the board of directors for the Columbia University Alumni Association of Southern California Board, the Columbia University Young Alumni Fund Advisory Board and chair of the Outreach Committee for Columbia College Women. She is also a board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Jacki resides in Los Angeles with her husband Jeff and is a proud mom of three.
