Jacki Karsh is a four-time Emmy-nominated multimedia journalist. For the past 7 years, she has canvassed Los Angeles County, reporting on a wide range of social and human interest issues impacting Angelenos for LA36’s LA County Channel. Jacki covers everything from the homelessness crisis to transformative technology to political changeover and community projects. Jacki also serves as the anchor and moderator for the in-house media coverage of the largest tech conference in Southern California — The Montgomery Summit. In this role, she’s interviewed some of the biggest newsmakers, entrepreneurs, and investors in the technology and finance space such as Michael Milken, NASDAQ’s Adena Friedman, General Stanley McChrystal, General David Petraeus, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, and Patrick Soon-Shiong, among others.
Jacki graduated with a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in 2014 and cum laude from Columbia University in 2013 with a B.A. in English and comparative literature. She was honored with a King’s Crown Award from Columbia University for her contribution to the media landscape and received the Communicator of the Year Award from New York Women in Communications. She serves on the board of directors for the Columbia University Alumni Association of Southern California Board and board of directors of Columbia College Women.
