Remy Meraz is Co-Founder and CEO of Zella Life the world’s first life and career coaching platform dedicated to professionals of color.
A natural-born marketer, innovator, and social entrepreneur, Remy Meraz is a serial entrepreneur and has a 25-year sales and marketing career that spans a variety of industries including media, entertainment, and technology.
Ms. Meraz graduated from a number of accelerators supporting founders of color including PlugIn South LA and Founder Gym where she was selected to receive a scholarship from Google for Entrepreneurs. She was also a grant recipient from the Valley Economic Alliance.
A dedicated community servant, Ms. Meraz is a past President of the National Latina Business Women Association where she mentored and advocated for Latina entrepreneurs. Her efforts were recognized in 2015 as 1 of 100 small business owners in the United States selected to attend the Small Business Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. The Summit, which provided a unique opportunity to interact with key policymakers and senior members of the Obama Administration to identify policy recommendations to help move the needle on important issues affecting small businesses.
Ms. Meraz is also a past Women’s Advocate of the Year nominee by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and a Women Who Mean Business Award nominee by the San Diego Business Journal.
With established businesses vying for resources and audiences, getting started in the L.A. startup and tech industry is challenging, especially for those in underserved communities.
